Western Star Trucks helped kick-off the 2009 Queensland Truck and Machinery Show by assisting in the makeover of a Western Star prime mover live on Channel 7s Sunrise morning program.
The promotion, which was broadcast across Australia, saw a Western Star 4964FXC prime mover fitted out with more than $14,000 worth of custom accessories over a three hour period by a specialised crew flown in from the United States for event.
Prior to the fit-out, the truck was painted Sunrise Orange, a unique colour which had been designed and developed especially for the Sunrise program and to highlight the accessories fitted to the Western Star.
Following the build the Sunrise Express was moved to the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds, where it was the centrepiece of the 2009 Queensland Truck and Machinery Show.
Pat Cook, Marketing Manager, stated that the promotion was a huge success for the Western Star brand and the truck show.
I lost count of the number people who approached our stand, wanting to know where they could view the Sunrise truck.
I would like to thank the Commercial Vehicles Industry Association of Queensland, Southside Agencies in Lismore, and Trade Only for helping to organise this event which generated priceless exposure for the Western Star brand and range of trucks, Pat said.
